Vocational Services

CVE Inc is staffed with experienced vocational professionals to address any of your vocational or employment needs.  Services include:

  • Vocational Assessments: Assess a client’s employability through a variety of standardized tests in the areas of learning ability, academic achievement, vocational aptitudes, and past employment experience.
  • Transferable Skills Analysis: Often included as an element of a vocational evaluation, the transferable skills analysis (TSA) looks at the claimant’s occupational history, including previous training and education, to compile a list of the claimant’s current vocational skill sets. This information is then used to identify jobs for which these skill sets are required.
  • Labor Market Research (LMR): Think of the LMR as the process of applying the information gleaned through the vocational evaluation/TSA process to the real world: research into the availability of identified jobs in the claimant’s geographic area; personal contact with potential employers in the identified vocational areas to ascertain job availability; and research into salary and the physical demands of the job.
  • Job Search Training: Job search training provides the claimant with education on a variety of necessary skills to successfully land a new job including resume and cover letter preparation; interview skills; networking; and access points to the job market. Provided by an experienced vocational or employment specialist, job search training provides a claimant with the skills to be an active and confident participant in their return to work process.
  • Return to Work Planning: CVE Inc. provides clients with assistance in designing modified return to work programs to compensate for barriers preventing work re-entry. From liaising with employers to three-point consultation with treating physicians, CVE Inc is experienced in facilitating the flexibility that is required to help client’s get back to work.
  • Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE): A one or two day objective and standardized assessment focusing on the client’s physical capabilities as they pertain to their pre-injury abilities. Usually FCE’s focus on the client’s abily to resume their pre-injury employment, however FCE’s can be applied to any of the client’s life roles.
