Neil Macmillan

Neil founded CVE -  Career and Vocational Evaluations Inc. in 1993 on the basis of being a recognized leader in providing vocational evaluations and assistance for individuals who had sustained some form of injury and were unable to return to their employment and required redirection. Neil has grown the CVE team from a staff of 3 to currently over 20 and has grown the service offering to Disability Management, Vocational Evaluations, Return to Work Programs, Ergonomic Assessments. Neil then branched out to offers services to the insurance industries in the areas of Disability Management and Independent Medical Evaluations and assessment services in Occupational Health.  Neil then developed programs to assisting employers in maintaining a healthy work environment through regular ergonomic assessments and work place training.  Neil's role is now one of a coach and mentor to the entire CVE Team.

Tim Macmillan

Tim started his career at CVE Inc. 15 years ago (year 2000) as an accomplished entrepreneur and results driven business development professional.  He has developed his knowledge with respect to disability management and is now recognized as a multi-level manager, consistently delivering results that exceed client expectations. Analytical, detail oriented professional with a solid record of increasing sales revenues, brand awareness/recognition; and strategic business development. Tim has joined with his father, Neil Macmillan, to develop excellence in the CVE Inc. rehabilitation, assessment and administrative teams. Tim is proud to now lead CVE Inc. Team into a future.

Dianna J.

Diana Jones.jpg

Dianna began her CVE Inc. career, in 2000, as a leader in the financial department. She has developed and now maintains the billing and accounts receivable program, ensuring appropriate working capital is present at all times.  Dianna chose to work with the CVE team because they are large enough for security but small enough to feel like a strong cohesive team.  The CVE community reputation is another factor which drew Dianna to the fold and has been one of the reasons she has been a team member for the past 15 years.

Amra H.

Amra began working for CVE Inc. as a Kinesiologist/Functional Capacity Evaluator in 2008. In just a few short years she started expanding her skill sets to include completing Physical Demands Analysis, Ergonomic Assessments, Aqua Therapy, Dragon Naturally Speaking Software Training, Computer Training, Monthly Health and Safety Inspections, Employer Ergonomics Training, and Job Coaching. Amra has also developed a few programs for CVE Inc. that are successfully being delivered in both official languages. The latest title acquired is Policy, Procedure and Roster Manager. Amra enjoys the challenge of wearing many hats and working with a wide variety of clients.

Erin Hennessy

Erin began her career as a clinical Kinesiologist developing and implementing Return to Work and Work Hardening Programs and providing exercise programs to private patients for 4 years. Erin discovered her passion for assessment services when she was given the opportunity to manage an assessment company for two years. Erin joined CVE in 2013 and started as a Quality Assurance Specialist, Erin has spent the remainder of her 2 years with CVE overseeing day-to-day operations in the intake and documents departments. She works with a team of colleagues that coordinates Insurer’s Examinations/Independent Medical Evaluations across Eastern Ontario involving a broad spectrum of disciplines, while working to maintain key performance indicators and ensuring high quality customer service. Erin chose to work with CVE because of their small company feel driven by stellar customer service, a team-oriented approach, and an inspiring reputation of success within the community.

Julie has started with the CVE Inc. in 2014 and has been an integral part of the Intake Team.  Her role as a front line professional is to work with clients to ensure referral requests are fulfilled logically and efficiently.     This activity requires attention to detail and time management skills among others. Julie loves working at CVE because everybody's voice matters and hard work does not go unnoticed. 


Intake/Job Developer

Justin L.

Justin joined the CVE’s as part of a successful return to work program. Through the services provided by CVE, Justin experienced tremendous success which allowed him to establish his career. Justin has now been part of the CVE team since 2012, coordinating assessments for claimants that have been involved in motor vehicle accidents and those that require assistance in returning to work. Through his daily interactions with clients, Justin discovered his passion for helping people and further developed his customer service background.  Justin recently began working as a Job Developer in CVE’s Employment Division for individuals who wish to return to work. He loves working for CVE because it has allowed him to grow personally and professionally.


Quality Assurance Associate

Carolin C.

Carolin has a degree in Honours Kinesiology. She has over ten years (starting in 2005) of experience in performing functional capacity evaluations, job site analyses and in-home assessments for the insurance industry. During that period of time she was also a Quality Assurance Associate, responsible for reviewing and formatting Independent Insurer’s Examination reports. She only recently began working for CVE Inc. as a Quality Assurance Consultant and is very excited to join the team.

Occupational Therapy Manager

Melanie Mayer

Melanie is a duly qualified and registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and L’Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Occupational Therapy and Psychology and is a member of the Ontario Association of Occupational Therapist. Melanie has 10 years’ experience in providing bilingual occupational therapy and vocational counselling services within the automobile and long-term disability insurance sectors and private clients in Eastern Ontario, Northern Ontario, Nunavut and Western Quebec. Additionally, she has four years’ experience providing driving assessments for the Ministry of Transportation.

Occupational Therapy Clinical Team Lead

Helene Lefort

Hélène Lefort is registered and a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She has been working at CVE Inc. since September 2014. She has a background in Kinesiology, along with a certification in personal training with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. She graduated in 2014 from a Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa, where she also completed a Bachelor in Health Sciences. Helene is both fluent in French and English. She has a compelling passion for health and fitness and has high values in work-life-balance, leading a very active lifestyle integrated with a healthy diet. Working at CVE gives Hélène the opportunity to share her extensive knowledge in workplace injuries, mental health and rehabilitation, as well as nutrition, strengthening and stretching. Hélène enjoys working with a variety of clientele with both mental and physical disabilities, which is why she loves working at CVE, giving her the opportunity to help people manage their condition and improve their overall quality of life.

Julie Brezden

Julie Brezden is a registered member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Order of Occupational Therapists of Quebec. She has been working at CVE Inc. since May 2016. She graduated in 2015 with a Master of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa. She has extensive knowledge in health sciences, psychology and ergonomics. Julie is fluent in both French and English and has professional working proficiency in Spanish. She enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and is passionate about helping them discover and achieve their full potential. At CVE, she strives to help her clients engage in meaningful activities and employment, ultimately improving their quality of life.


Occupational Therapist

Elnaz Saleh

Elnaz is a registered and a member in good standing with the College on Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She graduated in 2014 with a Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa. Prior to that, she completed an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University.  Her clinical experience consisting of providing treatments in the LTD and MVA sectors has allowed her to gain skills in assessing and treating a diverse range of clientele while focusing on both physical and mental health barriers. Using a holistic approach, she is able to assist clients in participating in daily living and vocational pursuits, as well as encourage them to strive for continual self-improvement and growth. Elnaz continues to enhance her clinical skills through continuing education and community health awareness initiatives thus enabling her to deliver a high quality of therapeutic care. She provides therapy in English, French, and Farsi.

Samantha Hart

Samantha has obtained her provisional registration and is currently a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario (COTO) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She will graduate from Queen’s University with a Master’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in the fall of 2016. Prior to her Master’s degree, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education & Special Needs Studies at Brock University. She has spent each summer as university student working at a residential retreat with individuals of all ages with both physical and mental disabilities. Samantha’s role at CVE Inc. involves enabling individuals to address and manage both mental and physical heath barriers to employment. Working at CVE gives Samantha the opportunity to apply her extensive knowledge on disability management as well as her passion for working with a variety of clientele with differing abilities towards engagement in meaningful employment. Samantha is both fluent in English and French, as well as conversational American Sign Language.

Peggy Welsh

Peggy joined the CVE Inc. team this past summer (2015). She has a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Law and a Minor in History from Carleton University. She also carries a diploma in Social Service Work from Algonquin College and has been heavily involved in the community for the past four years. Peggy loves working at CVE Inc. because it allows her to help empower individuals by providing them with support and the necessary tools to find gainful and meaningful employment while building stronger relationships within the community.

Sylvie Timm

Sylvie joined the team in the summer of 2016. Her experience as an Employment Specialist and Recruiter in both the education and staffing worlds enables her to share her understanding of what employers are seeking in today’s job market. Sylvie finds gratification in working at CVE Inc. because she can assist clients with disabilities to be job ready by imparting the life skills, interview preparation and workplace knowledge to successfully gain and maintain employment in their chosen fields.
